Had a wonderful meal at The George in the Tree, excellent service, staff extremely friendly and helpful. Even had a free dessert as we were celebrating an anniversary. 100% would recommend. We will definitely be going back soon

An Okay Visit – Some Hits and Misses We recently visited this pub for a bite to eat and overall, it was an okay experience. Nothing particularly special, but it did the job. I had the fish and chips which was actually really good, crispy batter, well-cooked fish and decent portion size. My boyfriend had the haddock and said he enjoyed his meal too, so the food was definitely a highlight. The pub itself felt a bit tired inside the chairs and tables were a bit old and could probably do with an update. It didn’t have the same clean, modern feel I prefer at places like Wetherspoons. One small but important plus for me was the pineapple juice I sometimes struggle to find one that doesn’t upset me, but they served a good quality one in glass bottles, which was a nice surprise. Would I rush back? Probably not, but it wasn’t a bad stop for a casual meal
